Summer is officially coming to an end here in BC. :( its heartbreaking but thats the way it goes. This post is dedicated to this summer!!

Player One

I've been reading  Douglas Coupland's book Player One.  I really think a lot of you would like it.  Its about 5 people trapped inside an airport cocktail lounge, and the whole book takes place over 5 hours.  Its basically the thoughts of each person and they're each telling their storey.  There were so many lines, thoughts, and conversations in it that I wanted to post on here for you guys but there's just too many! From reading the quotes and thoughts of a lot of girls on xanga, I think you'd all love this book.

Here's an example of some of the idea from it that I thought were pretty cool:

Our curse as humans is that we are trapped in time; our curse is that we are forced to interpret life as a sequence of events - a story - and when we can't figure out what our particular story is, we feel lost somehow.

How quickly time passes, and how your mistakes add up one day to something less than what you wanted.

Why is it that the only way we ever seem to take steps forward in life is through pain?  Why is exposure to pain suppose to make us better people?

I put a lot of thought and searching for good quotes into this post.  Its more about the time i spent living in Hollywood and the people I met and just the atmosphere there.The glamour and the not so much. The fashion, night time, the industries. The opportunities and things i lerned.I miss it like crazy - its a totally different world. I hope you guys like it
